Does anyone know how to get a criminal background check? I need it for a teaching job in Korea.?
I just got hired for the Teach and Learn in Korea TALK Program but I need to submit a criminal record check. I am a U.S. Citizen, grew up in the Philippines and currently live in Berlin, Germany. Any tips on how I go about this? I have no criminal record but I need to submit proof for the school.

Is there a nursing school in Illinois that does not require a criminal background check?
I have a record that is eligible for sealment in 2011 and expongement in 2013. By the time I finish nursing program I will have sealed and or exponged my criminal record. That will allow me to freely apply for a job w o worrying about my background at that point.

Do colleges perform criminal background checks before admission?
Last year 2010 I was convicted for " minor in possession of alcohol" . I was eighteen when the misdemeanor was committed so it's not a juvenile record type of offense. I'm applying to transfer to a four year university and the application is asking if I've committed any misdemeanors. I'm tempted to lie because I really don't want to be rejected but I'm wondering if colleges actually check this stuff. My major is international relations so it's not like I'm applying for an education or health major. Thanks

PLEASE HELP ME!!! applying to nursing, criminal background check. ugh :(?
When I was 14 I got brought home by the police for being drunk. I cannot remember anything about what happened that night until my mum told me angrily the next morning. I don't know whether I was cautioned or received a warning. I wasn't taken to the children's court or anything. Then when I was 15 I experimented with weed and had a really bad panic attack and phoned for an ambulance and hung up and the police phoned me back and I didn't answer so they left me an angry voicemail to which I replied. The following week they came to my house to question me about what had happened that night as I had obviously told them where I was when phoning for an ambulance on a golf course....cringey I know ...I'VE CHANGED and the people there had caused damage to the gold course. Basically they took a statement from me and I don't think anything else happened. They didn't charge me or take me to the station or anything but I'm so confused as to whether any of this will be on an Enhanced Disclosure. I'm so embarrassed by my teenager self. I would be so appreciative if anyone could give me peace of mind on whether I need to worry about getting onto my nursing course. Even if it's just a one word answer. I've been worried sick about this for months

PGCE and a criminal background check?
I am looking into carrying out two weeks work experience at a secondary school in the UK as part of the PGCE application process. I understand that i need a CBC, however i was wondering how to go about getting one? Once i have the documents, do i just give it to the schools where i want to carry out the work experience? Please if anyone has done a PGCE, explain to me how you did the experience. Thanks. x

I know this question sounds terrible, but it's not how it sounds. My roomie was doing drugs badly and since I lived with her i got the same charges, we havent been to trial yet. But I'm in the process of applying to medical schools and need to know which ones do not do background checks? Looking mainly for international schools

Does anyone know how to order a personal state wide criminal background check? I have been looking online but I can't find anything and I don't know what's legit or not. I need it because I plan to teach abroad. If anyone can tell me how I can obtain that or what I need to do to obtain that and approximately how much that usually costs, I would appreciate it I need to get it soon. Also, does anyone know how to get things apostilled? I looked at the website and was confused. THANKS

Do the major Universities run Criminal Background Checks prior to a student's admission?
I am very interested in attending vet school and wanted to know if anyone, maybe someone working in admissions at a major univ., knew whether or not they ran criminal background checks on potential students, prior to admitting them. I am not a convicted felon, nor does my background have a violent past.And it does not involve drugs...I HATE DRUGS lol

Criminal Background checks for nursing school?
Hi everyone ...My name is Ashley and I have applied for college starting the spring semester January 2010 . Its clear that there are several prerequisites that are needed first before application for the nursing program. Heres my question In the nursing program guidelines...they conduct criminal background checks for all accepted applicants. Back in 2007 I was convicted of attempted card fraud. I was young and stupid, but obviously cant change it now. Will this keep me from attending nursing school or should I continue with the program without hesitation? I would hate to take unnecessary courses if I will wind up changing my major. Please help and thanks everyone In response...I am over the age of 18. I am now 26. This happened around the age of 22 23. Ive consulted an attorney and they said bc it was a conviction, it CANNOT be removed. Please help guys and give me some advice
